Print Parcel Return Labels with ShipHawk

Product Update – November 2016

Shopping online is convenient, but has a higher level of risk of return. As much as 30% of all orders processed online are returned. This is almost triple the amount of returns made from in-store purchases, which is traditionally closer to 8 or 9%.

Customers want a hassle-free return policy and are more likely to purchase an item if there is a guaranteed, easy return option. Boost your eCommerce business by taking advantage of ShipHawk’s parcel return label feature.

When you are shipping large volumes of small parcels, a greater incidence of returns is to be expected. A modern transportation management system (TMS) can handle outgoing shipments and incoming returns simultaneously. This mitigates error and boosts efficiency, while reducing the cost of manual returns processing.

Pre-Generated Return Labels

We allow customers to generate pay-on-use parcel return labels for FedEx, UPS, and USPS. This feature gives you the option to include a return label with the initial shipment to the customer.

Product Update - November 2016

ShipHawk’s dashboard makes it easy to print your own pre-paid return labels for customers. Simply click on the desired shipment and then click “Print Return Labels” on the right. The system automatically generates the label using the information previously input for the shipment.

If you choose not to include the label with the shipment, you can send the customer the label after the product is received, as well.

Streamlining your eCommerce return process reduces error, increases efficiency and boosts productivity. Learn more about returns and other shipping features included in ShipHawk’s Smart TMS here.

Rating Rules: Product Update – June 2016

Rating Rules

Product Update – June 2016

As a shipper, you need to be able to tailor the pricing experience for your buyers. With Rating Rules, ShipHawk makes it easy for business users to inflict logic at a product and order level so that buyers get the right price in their cart.

Every shipper has different levers of control over the shipping process and not everyone has the luxury of offering free shipping across the board. When it comes to the shipping price, you have 5 main levers of control:

Transparent Shipping

Marked up Shipping

Subsidized Shipping

Flat Rate Shipping

Free Shipping

Rating rules let you control the conditions under which you’d like to take one of these above actions.  Let’s say you want to offer Free Shipping on orders over $500. To do this you’d make a rating rule that applies to all orders.  Rules can be as simple or as complex as you want, but what’s important to remember is that once you’ve connected with ShipHawk, making a change is as simple as the flip of a switch.

Leverage Rating Rules to test and validate the optimal customer-facing pricing methods for your business – and if you need some help – please reach out to our support team!

Product SKUs: Import, Export Enrich, and Optimize

Product Update – April 2016

This month, we released the Products tab (and APIs) on ShipHawk. With our Products tools, you can upload SKU data into ShipHawk and leverage this information throughout the platform to streamline your pre- and post- order workflows.

Historically, you had to manage this information outside of the platform; now, ShipHawk can be your central source of truth for all shipping related product information – so you can leverage data you already have on hand and, together, we can enrich your products.

With Products, you can:

Import products from eCommerce platforms like Shopify and Magento

Handle Products that need to be shipped in more than one box (ex. “3 pc. sectional sofa”)

Enrich critical product specific shipping data:

-Shipping dimensions (to avoid costly dimensional weight                    issues)

      -Shipping weight

      -Freight class

      -NMFC codes

      -Country of manufacture

      -Harmonization codes

Associate Products with specific originating locations (warehouses, distributors, individual sellers, etc.)

Shipping Policies

Product Update – January 2016

Regardless of what your customers end up paying for shipping, we know how important it is to have the control you need post-order.

When it comes to processing your orders, you generally know how you want your items shipped – whether you just want the cheapest option available or whether you need to use a specific carrier or service based on the product or customer for that particular order.

With ShipHawk’s Shipping Policies you can set up business logic so that as Orders are added to your account, we will actually pre-queue the shipments for your order. This means less time dealing with shipments, faster fulfilling of products, and more time available to manage exceptions.
