How to Book a Parcel Shipment

In this video you will learn how to book a parcel shipment and select the rate that works best for you. We’ll start by going to the “Shipments” page, and then select “Create a New Shipment”. This page will ask you both where and what is being shipping so that the rates can be established as accurately as possible. Edit your origin and your destination address. We’ll use our preset addresses for this example. Now continuing to scroll down to the package dimensions. When entering the package dimensions you can manually fill in the information, use your connected scale and dimensioner, or select from the presets list. We’ll select a square box from FedEx, and say it weighs 20 lbs and is valued at $30. If you have more than one item in your shipment, add more items is needed by clicking here.

Scroll down and enter reference numbers as applicable. Continue to scroll down, and select “Next”. This will bring us to the rating selection window. From this page we can click on the arrow to view the shipment details and select add-ons as needed. Press continue. On this page you will need to confirm that both the origin and delivery addresses are correct. Also, specify any specific pickup or delivery instructions if needed. Once you have confirmed the above information is correct, click “Next”. This will take you to the booking page, where you can confirm the shipping information and the total price paid. Click “Finish”, and now you’ve booked your first parcel shipment.
